Hi Pilots!

As part of A Greater Applegate's fundraising week (called A Week in Jacksaphine Count(r)y), we will be including a "Glass Off" event at LongSword winery on Friday, Sept. 27th from 5:00-7:30ish range. This is a great opportunity to educate the Applegate community --and beyond--about the magic of our Woodrat mountain and the cool people that fly here.

Kate Vangeloff is in charge of the food, music, venue part of the event and I'm helping reach out to pilots.

We are hoping to find a few pilots to volunteer to do the following:

-set up a wing/harness demo. Maybe people can try to hang in a harness? A Hang Glider would be amazing, too!

- someone to provide a visual map/display element and describe the features that make Woodrat such a good place to fly.

- a few pilots to land at LongSword during the event--only if it's safe, of course!

There will also be live music, an Applegate trivia booth, food and wine at the event.

For context, the other events during that week tentatively include a river recreation event at Provolt park, an  art show with works of Applegate artists at Wooldridge Creek Winery,  and evening of neighborhood potlucks, a closing party up at Yale Creek Ranch and some other events throughout the week.

Here is a flyer draft without the details, but gives you a feel.

Hope some of you will be part of this! I'll double check, but I'm sure we can comp some food and wine at the event to all volunteers!

Thanks!
