 Thanks Kevin.

I would add an important safety note. Last evening, we had a situation where pilots were using various radio frequencies. In the case of an emergency or a tree landing, this could prove to be dangerous. Additionally, there is an interference issue that happens when Oudie Naviter varios are in proximity to radios using 151.925.
For safety sake, THE DESIGNATED RADIO FREQUENCY IS 158.400. IT IS THE RADIO FREQUENCY THAT THE APPLEGATE FIRE DEPARTMENT MONITORS ON OUR BEHALF.

Please keep your transmissions short. No instruction to be done on 158.400.

Justin asked a question about what the instruction radio frequency should be?

Thats up to the instructor as long as it is not 158.400. Instruction is a contract between the instructor and instructee. Basically the instructor has the obligation to watch over your safety and they need to be able to provide quick, specific , uncluttered  communications with those being instructed. There are plenty of other  USHPA  dedicated frequencies available for instruction. USHPA CHANNELS ARE 151.505, 151.625, 151.925,151.955 AND 158.400. The instructor can use other options for individual  or small group instruction. The club channel, 158.400, is for the other pilots to have a safety and informational net . The two should definitely  be separate.
