Dear Professor:
Greetings from Cognizant.
We take great pleasure in announcing a new value-enhancing Cognizant Certified Student (CCS) Program for your students. This initiative seeks to equip your students with crucial capabilities in different areas of IT & Software Engineering relevant to industry needs. It is, for us, a social commitment that will help students scale up their capabilities and become more employable, at no cost to the college and the students.
What’s in it for your students?
• We see a “Cognizant Certified Student” as one with a fundamental understanding of the subject and a clear grasp of the concepts in areas such as Data Structures, OOPS, C ++, RDBMS and Software Engineering.
• The certification is a quantifiable indicator of their job-readiness for the IT sector. Hence students who clear this certification will be eligible directly for Technical & HR Interviews during the campus recruitment program (and will not need to appear for the Written Aptitude Test).
Eligibility Criteria
· Open only to Final Year UG / PG students of CS and IT departments including MCA and MS – Software Engineering
· Students should have 60% consistency through X, XII, UG and PG (if applicable) till the semester for which exams have been announced
Here's the roll-out plan:
Step 1: Attached with this mail is a PDF document that contains the following: FAQs; Table of Contents for the certification & the list of reference materials to help students prepare for the assessment. Do ask the students to read through the same to clarify all their queries.
Step 2: Please share the details of interested students in the attached Excel format by 31 July 2011 to the undersigned.
Step 3: We shall reach out to you in August to communicate the date and venue details for the assessment (Tentatively the assessment has been scheduled for September 2011)
We hope that as a symbiotic partner in our mutual progress, you will understand the importance of this initiative to help your talented students. We would like to reiterate that this program is optional for the students as this is being implemented as part of our social commitment.
Thanks in anticipation of your complete support,
Campus HR Team
