Welcome, Kim!
My experience with the RJUG meetings is that people trickle in between 5:30 and 6:00, when the actual presentation is scheduled to start. I figured I'd take a shortcut and just schedule for 6:00 since that seems to be a time when more people can make it. On the other hand, people might just be showing up to RJUG at 6:00 because they just come for the presentation, not the socializing. I guess I need more data before drawing a conclusion!
So to get to the point: if you want to book the room for 5:30 and we'll plan on calling the meeting to order at 6:00, I'll promise to show up by 5:30 and chat with anyone else who can/wants to make it at that time. In the future, I hope we'll have speakers lined up and do presentations like the usual RJUG setup. Does that sound reasonable?
