Attention all units regarding internet rechartering!
There will be an internet rechartering training/refresher class on February 11, 2009 at ADESA in Manville, NJ. The session will start at 7:30 PM. Mike Sutherlin will instruct all attendees on how to use the rechartering system on-line.
2009 Annual District Meeting

The Raritan Valley District Nominating Committee will present a slate of nominees for the 2009 Raritan Valley District Committee. Charter Organization Reps and District Members At Large are entitled to vote on the slate.
2009 Klondike Trail Information
The 2009 Klondike Trail will be held at the Oak Springs Environmental Center on Saturday February 28th. Registration is due ASAP. Please Note that the registration form has been updated re-posted as of February 1. Please ensure that your payments are sent to the Council Office in Florham Park.

Registration 9am - 10am / Races Start 10:30 AM
Location: Green Brook Middle School 132 Jefferson Avenue, Green Brook, NJ
Cost: $6 if you preregister, $8 at the door
Food: Hamburgers, Hot Dogs, Hot Pretzels, drinks will be available for purchase
Register: online by March 14, 2009 (Check back for details / link)

2009 Scout of the Year Nomination
The Grand Lodge of New Jersey Subcommittee on Masonry and Scouting will recommend to the Grand Master one Scout to receive the "Grand Lodge Scout of the Year" award, and as many runner-ups as the Grand Lodge Committee deems worthy of recognition.
To aid in the selection process, the Grand Lodge will also be presenting a "Council Scout of the Year" in each council. The winner of the Council Scout of the Year will receive a certificate and a $100.00 US Savings Bond. This winner will than be the nomination of that council for the Grand Lodge Scout of the Year. This winner will receive a certificate and a check for $1000.00 at the Grand Lodge annual communication in April.

The Aviation Merit Badge Event is designed to complete and sign off the Aviation Merit Badge requirements in this one day event. The event also includes an opportunity for the Scout to enjoy, a separate but concurrent and free EAA, Young Eagle orientation flight.
