Gary,

With Fleetwood now in bankruptcy I sure would not count on there being any kind of factory warranty, should it be needed. Of course you do need to keep in mind that all of the appliances get their warranty from the appliance manufacturer, and not from Fleetwood. That same thing is true for the chassis. What you don’t have covered in such a case is mostly the structural items. The vast majority of warranty work is with things which are not covered by the RV manufacturers anyway.

For example, on my present motorhome there were several warranty repairs, a bad tire valve extended, a leaking leveling jack, a problem of the tile floor, and a starter motor. Of all of those problems that were ever covered by warranty work, only the floor covering was paid for by the RV manufacturer. Every other item was paid for by the appliance or the chassis manufacturer. That is pretty typical of any RV.

Where the manufacturer of an RV becomes critical is in the event that you have some major structural item such as leaks that can’t be repaired, plumbing issues or some other part that is built as the RV is assembled. Those are the kinds of things which are warranted by the RV builders. And most of those are also excluded from the majority of the extended warranty programs as well.

Good travelin !.............Kirk
