We are excited to share that the applications for the Anita Borg Memorial Scholarship Asia Pacific 2016 edition is open! Feel free to spread the word regarding the same . The scholarship is for the female engineering students from Bachelor’s, Master’s and PhD programs. Read more about the eligibility criteria here.
This is not only a monetary grant; Scholars can develop their tech and leadership skills through various experiential activities, gain access to a strong network of Scholars and alumni (across the globe), and it also opens doors to a host of other opportunities internationally! Any possibility of getting the scholarship comes with submitting an application, which is the first step, and let's get them to do so.
Through this scholarship, we aim to encourage women to excel in computing and technology and become active role models and leaders in their communities. Below are more details:
All scholarship recipients, chosen from the applicant pool across Australia, New Zealand, Japan, Korea, Southeast Asia and India, will be invited to attend the annual scholars retreat at Google Hyderabad between August 30th to September 2nd, 2016.
Recipients of the scholarship will receive a scholarship amount specific to their local region in respect to tuition (Rs. 1,00,000 per student in India).
The deadline to apply for the scholarship is May 15th, 2016.
