Cedar Waxwings are beautiful birds but they aren't rare in Jackson County so I'm wondering why I got an eBird Rare Bird Alert for a few seen today. The comments mentioned the observation was changed to Cedar so maybe eBird didn't change the rarity status if a Bohemian Waxwing was reported first. Any other ideas?

Hi Karl, the county's filter is set to allow as many as 200 Cedar Waxwings during this time period so any sighting of one showing up on the rare bird alerts, etc was probably a fluke. I don't see anything weird on my end (in the review queue). -Alex

I have been getting Cedar Waxwings for the last two weeks...today there were two in my trees. I have seen a flock of about 24 estimated but they cleaned out my Holy berries and are gone now...just these remnants. In Josephine County Grants Pass.
