Every night now for the last 16 days I have had a Western Screech-Owl poking its head out at 5:00 PM (+/- about 5 or 10 minutes which is close enough for a retired birder to set his clock) from a nest/roosting box next to my garage. Within about 20 minutes, it takes off to hunt for the night. Now I'm hoping it will find a mate and use the box to nest. So cute!
