Greetings all,
This is more of a query than an advertisement. I have some friends who own a 400-acre property near Macdoel, CA in the Klamath Basin. Due to tax considerations, they are unable to go the traditional AirBnB route, but they are interested in renting this property
out to birders. They reached out to me asking if I knew of a good place to network and attract birders interested in renting the property. It is a two-bedroom, 1 bath house with a fold-out couch. It has a wrap-around porch and is particularly good for raptor
viewing. They work with banders from Cal Poly Humboldt who are banding raptors and owls. If you are interested in seeing the banding operation during a visit that is certainly a possibility.
If you have suggestions about where to advertise this property, please send them my way. If you are interested in checking out this property for yourself reach out to me privately and I can put you in touch with the owners. They are wonderful people who have
done several wildlife conservation projects on their ranch. Nearby birding sites include Lower Klamath NWR, Tule Lake NWR, and Butte Valley National Grassland.
Thanks in advance,
Dave Irons
