In 2021 a bird was heard singing near the border of this  mornings survey unit but could not visually verify as it was on a private inholding in the monument and was unreported by me. 2020 sighting was reported and record submitted to OBRC which I wd be happy to do again the they want a report . We did not survey in 2022. Near this location this morning: 42.01429, -122.404380. This location is difficult to reach high clearance 4x4 then an hour hike down to area backside of Soda Mtn."

- Comments: "Beautiful adult male here: (42.8998015, -122.5038014) . Found while walking between point count sites, feeding in Oregon White Oak with a mixed flock. Flock including LAZB, BHGR, and NAWA, YEWA, and TOWA. Solid blue all over with no hints of white in the wings or belly (ruling out a hybrid). When I flushed the bird from the oaks while trying get documentation, it sang from perch for several minutes. Giving a quiet jumbled song, unlike LAZB but not the standard “fire fire where where”. Digibin pictures and audio tba."
