On my lunch-hour walk around the Forensics Lab today, I spotted a high-soaring Buteo. I expected it to be a Red-tail, of course, but it was a fine light-morph Rough-legged. It seemed to be in migration mode, and eventually soared so high that I lost it. First of the season for me.
