Today after the Mingus Pond Bear Creek Community Bird Survey I happened upon a female Anna's pulling fluff from last year's cattail near the small 'trash' pond north of Mingus Pond. She flew up into a creekside White Alder (A.rhombifolia) After some searching and with patience I was able to locate her nest and watched her weaving with spider's silk and shaping the cup with her body, a beautiful thing.
