Earth Day SWAP Day – Bring your good condition items to Lower Borough Hall on Saturday, April 18th between 10am-2PM!
As part of our campaign to offer our residents more opportunities to reduce, reuse, and recycle the Sanitation Committee is hosting our second annual Earth Day SWAP Day!
Attendees are encouraged to bring items for swap for the duration of the event and browse other items put out for SWAP.
You do not have to stay for the full time, but you are asked to retrieve your items at the end of the event if not selected for a new home.
Attendees are permitted to take any items that are on offer from others!
Interested in composting at home? As we look at ways to make compostable accessible and scalable for a community of our side, we are hosting a workshop with the Pennsylvania Resource Council. It is free to attend and residents can pre-purchase a home composter bin to take home. This will be in lower borough hall on Wednesday, April 22nd 6-7PM.
The ReClothEarth Textile bin was mistakenly removed in January but it is back! It is now purple.
The PRC Glass Bin is back at the Swarthmore Public Works yard on Dartmouth Avenue. Please consider using this to dispose of your glass which is 100% recycled and processed in the commonwealth of PA.
