Urgent Support Needed - November 15th Rutledge Shade Tree Fall Planting!

Our Rutledge Shade Tree Commission urgently needs volunteers to support the tree planting this November 15th. This planting will have the most trees yet! We love to see new trees in Rutledge, but we need volunteers to help dig, plant, and stake the trees.  To volunteer, show up to Triangle Park at 9AM on November 15th &  reach out to rutledge....@gmail.com with questions!

Students are welcome to volunteer and we will sign volunteer hour forms on the spot!

Activities Committee:

As stated in our annual appeal letter, the Rutledge Activities Committee's goal is to plan fun, family friendly events throughout the year.  Events like Happy Hours, Halloween Grow and Glow, Tree Lighting, Luminaries, Bingo Night, Snow Jam, Spring Celebration, Earth Day, 4th of July and others.  These events are funded entirely through your generous donations and this year is no different.  While we realize there has been an increase in the cost of living, our donations seem to have taken a hit this year as well.  Thus, if you can, please make a donation to the Rutledge Activities Committee.  It is tax-deductible and a great way to support your community.   Cash or check accepted at Rutledge Borough Office.

Any questions can be directed to Sue Hunt at suehun...@gmail.com .

Parks Committee

The construction at Triangle Park has begun again, with cement footings and layout beginning. The latest schedule has the park construction completing in the first two weeks of November. We hope to see much of the work completed ahead of the Fall Planting; volunteer for the planting to support the tree planting–some of the final touches for this phase!
