  • Activities Meeting - Tuesday June 30th at 6:30PM in borough hall - Join us for 4th of July set up!

  • Rutledge Celebrates America’s Semiquincentennial!

    • Rutledge Antiques Roadshow - Friday, June 19th Lower Borough Hall 6-8PM featuring local historical artifacts

    • Semiquincentennial Quizzo - Friday, June 26th Lower Borough Hall 6-8PM.

    • America 250 Art Contest - Monday, June 29th throughout the borough all day. Make art and post it in your home’s window or in your front yard. Recommended to leave up through 7/4/26. Prizes will be awarded by category. More details to come.

    • American Independence Crafts - Thursday, July 2nd craft materials will be available, more details to come

    • U.S. History Scavenger Hunt - Friday, July 3rd - take photos of the specified items related to U.S. history and win prizes. Top 10 winners get additional prizes. 

    • Rutledge Fourth of July Parade - Saturday, July 4th

  • Borough Council Meetings - First and Third Mondays at 7:30PM in Borough Hall

  • Planning Commission Meetings - 2nd Monday at 7:30PM in Lower Borough Hall

  • Yard Waste - First and Third Mondays in Apr-May-Jun and Sep-Oct-Nov. All other months only the First Monday of the Month.

Morton Rutledge Fire Company


The MRFC Summer Fest returns for another year! This event will be held from 11AM-4PM at Mike Scioscia Field in Morton PA. It features activities, food trucks, and local vendors.


Morton-Rutledge Fire Company Fundraising

MRFC Leather Helmet Raffle - $25 per entry, this fundraiser benefits the Morton Rutledge Fire Company. Details are on the attached flier.


Historical Committee

  • Rutledge Antiques Roadshow: Do you have an artifact reflecting Rutledge’s history? We would love to have you enter it in our Rutledge Antiques Roadshow where items will be assessed by our local historians and may be put on display leading up to our Semiquincentennial celebration. Please email a photo and description of your submission by 6/17/26 to our coordinating Historical Committee member for this event: alan.mc...@temple.edu

  • Oral History Gathering: Do you have something to share about Rutledge? We’re listening! As part of the preservation process of our borough we would like to collect residents’ and neighbors’ stories of life in our borough. The recordings of this project will be archived and preserved…maybe even in a time capsule! Please submit requests for an interview here

  • Visit the Rutledge Archives: Newly released, the Rutledge Digital Archives are now live! You can visit our archives and be a Rutledge Citizen Historian. We continue to scan and upload documents, with more than 14,000 pages across over 800 accessioned items, we’re just getting started. We’re looking for archivists to help with our projects. 

  • Join us: We meet to plan projects and events every 3rd Wednesday at 6:30pm in the Lower Borough Hall, come join us! All are welcome.

  • Rutledge Semiquincentennial T-Shirts are available to order!

    • $35 per shirt, proceeds go to the Activities Committee (see the design here)

Sanitation Committee:


Next Yard Waste Collections are Monday, June 15th and July 6th.

Please note, Yard Waste will only be collected on first Monday in July & August. Twice monthly will resume for Fall Haul (Sep-Oct-Nov).


Volunteering Opportunities:

  • Rutledge Activities Committee: Help coordinate and organize events! Next meeting is Tuesday June 30th. Please help come out and plan. To volunteer, please email ahead of time suehun...@gmail.com and/or amarqu...@gmail.com. Helpers are needed!
