Hello Rutledge Borough!
As we prepare to celebrate the holidays, we are thankful for the amazing neighbors in Rutledge and value the opportunity to serve as your borough council in 2024 and to continue this privilege in 2025.
We would also like to give thanks for the amazing support from borough staff, Borough Secretary Janet, Catania Engineering, Swarthmore Police Department, Morton Rutledge Fire Company, our many block captains and volunteers, our neighboring boroughs, and our various service partners. Without your partnership, engagement and hard work, Rutledge would not be the same.
To all our neighbors, Merry Christmas and Hanukkah Sameach!
Please join us in celebrating tomorrow, Christmas Eve, by arranging your luminaries in the evening along the curbs to light the way for Santa Claus as he is escorted by Morton Rutledge Fire Company through our borough to greet all our little ones.
Upcoming Events:
Santa Claus is Coming to Town! December 24th, starting at 5PM, come meet Santa as the MRFC escorts him through the borough! Route attached.
Annual Luminaries - December 24th, borough wide.
If you did not receive a luminary kit or if you are not able/available to use your kit; please reach out to suehun...@gmail.com ro return the kit(s) to 209 Linden Avenue so we can reuse it for 2025.
Traveling Glass Bin - Now open in Swarthmore - 121 Dartmouth Ave
Rutledge Borough Council Meetings are held the First and Third Monday at 7:30PM in Lower Borough Hall.
January 20th Borough Work Session will be Tuesday January 21st due to MLK Holiday.
Adjusted Sanitation Collections:
No Recycling Collection on December 25th.
Trash will be collected Monday January 30th as usual.
No recycling collection January 1st as we move to a new service provider.
Monday January 6th, begins both Trash and Recycling collection.
Attached we are also including all the documents distributed last week by mail to all Rutledge households.
