Rutledge Girls Club

It is finally here!  Our annual Rutledge Girls Club Day celebration is this Saturday, May 17th from 10AM - 4PM.  Come down to Triangle Park to celebrate the club and our current and past players.  There will be plenty of food, snacks, water ice, and activities for all along with a chance to cheer on our Wolfpack players as they take the field in a key league showdown.

You can support the girls club by volunteering to run the snack booth, event set up, or ticket booths. If you would be interested in volunteering, you can sign up: https://www.signupgenius.com/go/10C0A4EA8A72AA13-56002599-rutledge

Triangle Park Gather Space Construction

We are excited to announce that construction has started on the Gather Space at Triangle Park, with an anticipated completion at the end of June. The work will be carried out by MOR Construction.

During this time, portions of Triangle Park and Waverly Terrace (between Swarthmore Avenue and Rutledge Avenue) will be temporarily closed for construction. Additionally, construction activity on the 200 block of Rutledge Avenue will limit available on-street parking.

We appreciate your patience and cooperation as we begin this important transformation. The Gather Space marks the first phase of the Triangle Park Master Plan, which envisions a vibrant, multi-generational space for all members of our community to enjoy. We look forward to welcoming you to the new space soon!

This project is made possible through funding from both the Pennsylvania Department of Conservation and Natural Resources (PA DCNR) and Delaware County.

Sanitation Committee

Next Yard Waste is Friday June 6th

  • Yard Waste Scheduled for July 4th week will take place Monday, July 7th to allow everyone to enjoy their holiday weekend.

Thank you to all the residents who are adjusting to our new trash system.  If you are generating more trash than fits into the 96 gallon toter, please consider purchasing an additional toter for only $75. (The same sells for close to $125 in stores.)  Using the toters provided is an additional plus as it is safer for the workers.

Double yard waste collections will begin in June.  Again, no plastic bags, no grass clippings, and please try to avoid having yard waste sticking out of cans.  Note:  due to the 4th of July falling on a Friday; yard waste will be collected on Monday, July 7th.  Please mark your calendars.

If you are on your way to Swarthmore and the Farmer's Market, consider checking out the Traveling Glass Bin on Dartmouth Avenue. This bin can gather up to six tons of glass that will be 100% recycled in PA.  An environmental win all around!

Start saving your E Waste and scrap metal.  Our next E Waste will be held on Saturday, June 7th at the borough hall.

  • Again NO TVS, LCD/CRT Monitors. Hard drives destroyed for a fee of only $5 which is returned to the borough .

    • For those needing to get rid of a TV or LCD/CRT Monitors, there will be an E Waste event at St. John's also on June 7th.  See the flyer attached.

  • Additionally, if you have a large item that needs to be removed from your property, RecycleRight will come to your home for a small fee of $30 to pick up the item as long as it is driveway accessible.  Contact RecycleRight at 610-83-2684 or recycle...@yahoo.com

We are four months into our new trash service and looking for feedback.  Please complete the survey below and let us know your thoughts.  Resident Survey for our new Sanitation
