Hi everybody,

This message has just been sent to me by your Hare for Sunday’s trail at Stapleford Wood. Sounds like we need to be prepared for a soaking ...... again! See you there.

Hello matey,

Two bits of advice, and an invitation concerning Sunday's hash at Stapleford Wood for you to pass on as you see fit, please:

1. Directions If travelling north up the A1, turn off at the Coddington turn, then head east to cross over the A1.  Continue through Coddington and at the roundabout on the A17, go straight on toward Stapleford and Nortom Disney.  The car park is about 2km along the road, on the left.

2. Water You may have noticed that there has been some recent rainfall.  Some of the paths in the woods are a bit wet.  I could have chosen an alternative route, but then I thought, why bother?  Waterproof shoes and or waterproof socks would be advantageous, but it's so deep in parts, it might not matter.  You will probably get wet feet, so a change of footwear for the long drive south again may be wise.

If walkers wish to plod around in wellies, they'll be the warm,snug-footed folks at the circle.

3. Post-hash lunching We might go to the Friendly Farmer on the A17 toward Newark for a snack afterwards.  The food has always been quite good there.  If anyone wishes to join us, that would be nice.

On on!
