Hey Rutherfordians! ? !

We, Rutherford, have been confirmed for Sub Stock III !  We'll play on Saturday, September 10 from 2:30 - 3:30pm.  In case you didn't know, in sync with (but not in cahoots with) the Root n Blues n BBQ fest, the downtown Sub Shop has been filling their lot with bands, letting people in for free, and selling awesome barbecue and liquid hooch as well!  They do this all weekend long, Sept 9 - 11.  Please come out and support this event with your eyes, ears, and bellies! And maybe some brain cells.

In other news, if you are reading this on Saturday August 27th, and you are free tonight, come down to Mojo's/Forrest Rose Park for Interstellar Overdrive!  Ruth has been singing backing vocals in this Pink Floyd tribute band, which features members of Filament, Six By Silver, as well as Violet Vonder Haar.  Its an all-star band!  With an awesome light show!  I saw them last year and was amazed by how well they "nailed" the songs, and this time they'll play an additional hour.  The set runs from 8-11pm straight, and admission is $10. 

Also, on September 3rd, Ruth Acuff and Jeff Mueller will be performing at Violet Vonder Haar's CD Release Party.  We'll play from 6:15 - 6:45pm, following Lee Ruth (Violet likes to keep her Ruth's organized!) and will be followed by Marissa Wood, Violet & The Undercurrents (Ruth again, this time on bass), Noah Earle, and Michael Cochran & Pete Szkolka.  $5 buys your admission and permission to camp.  This event is at the Vonder Haar estate, just outside of Lupus, MO.  It is a beautiful piece of land!  Tickets available in advance through the artists (reply to this email if you'd like some) or at Barnhouse's Crazy Music at 8th & Locust streets, in Columbia!

Just a reminder - if you are available and have ears, come out to the Downtown SubShop on Saturday, Sept 10 from 2:30-3:30pm and hear what we've been up to.  If you're at Roots'n'Blues, it'll be a nice break for you!  And if you are not an RnBer, you get the joy of a police escort to the SubShop stage!  You get to feel all important, or dangerous, for Free!!!
