Hi and welcome to the new members of this newsletter and that of the Rust in Israel group on LinkedIn.

I'd like to remind everyone that we have a web site at https://rust.org.il/ that is waiting for some design. In the meantime you can find all the Rust-related groups in Israel there and all of our activities.

I think I might need to start a post called "This week in Rust in Israel" published every Sunday morning with the various Rust-related events on that week.This is the experimental edition of it.

I missed Sunday this week as I was at GopherCon wearing a shirt with a Rust logo on it. It certainly helped open conversations :-)

First of all Happy Shavuot!

On Tuesday (June 3) at 13:00 I am going to give an online presentation about "Why Rust".

I have some reasons, but I guess you, as a subscriber here, have your own reasons.

I'd love to hear them so I can include them in the presentation and share it with all the others as well.

Next Sunday, (June 8) we have our next in-person meeting at AWS in Tel Aviv (Azrieli Sarona)

We will have two presentations:

* Power up NodeJS with Rust by Ariel Boukris

* From TensorFlow to PyTorch with some help from Rust by Gavrie Philipson

Last week I mentioned the Rust at Work series of podcasts. I have a second episode already recorded, but it needs some processing before I can publish it. I am also looking for more people to get on the show and talk about their use of Rust at work.

On Wednesday, (June 11) starting at 20:30 we have the live online recording of the Rust at Work - conversation with Herbert Wolverson of Ardan Labs & LibreQoS session. Join us to have the opportunity to ask questions.
