Bob,

Got the email. My personal preference would be geared toward
something a little simpler and less costly, like a pot luck dinner at
a community clubhouse somewhere. But most people probably like the
idea of getting all dressed up and going to a fancy hotel, and having
expensive hotel food. Also anything other than having a reunion
planner handle the details is probably not going to happen. Looking
on the net, $75 per person seems typical. What is the consensus of
the group?

I suggest we make it sort of family orientated. Like a picnic in the park.
Say Brookdale or even Piedmont Park. That way we could have kids and other
family members.
As my 2nd suggestion, What about someone's back yard some place on Jefferson
Ave.
I hate spending money or dressing up.

STEVE,

I AGREE IF WE CAN FIND THE RIGHT PLACE.  JOE McDANIEL HAS THE SAME IDEA.  WE MIGHT BE LOOKING AT SOMETHING LIKE DRAKE PARK IN PEACHTREE CITY.  THE FACILITIES IN EAST POINT AREN'T WHAT THE USE TO BE.  WILL KEEP YOU ADVISED.

Bob and everybody concerned,       I like the idea of being in a park and it costing less because more people will come. The biggest drawback could possibly be weather so an inside location near a park with a dinner either potluck or catered then fun in the sun outside weather permitting might be nice. If the weather is bad  then we can stay inside. I will be leaving tomorrow for Israel and will not be back until 4/13. I will check with you then.  Dan

Bob, Don't overlook Piedmont Park. It is in great shape and has outdoor covered areas plus many other activity areas.
It may be a little urban sounding to some but it has a lot to offer and is centrally located.

STEVE,

WILL CHECK THAT OUT.  BE ON LOOK OUT FOR ANY OTHER LOCAL VENUES.  THE ONLY QUESTION WOULD BE FROM FOLKS COMING IN FROM OUT OF TOWN.  THEY WOULD BE LOOKING FOR HOTEL ACCOMENDATIONS.
