I thought someone might know how i might be able to remove a click when you extend regions (drag a sound longer creating a join (gap) I ideally want to make these gaps indistinguishable so they sound like they were created as a single continuous sound or sample loop rather than the stop and start or pop or click or an area of silence creating a gap when it begins or ends .
This is a major issue in any song for me as I use one heck of a lot of oddly placed sounds/chops for fx and vocals consistently , and I often cut them and then extend them again etc etc, I repeatedly use the fade tool creating a fade in and out or in and out curved fading most of the time I will manually incrementally fade in fade out with the dots and lines in the fade tool, this works rarely for joins but every now and then it works flawlessly but few and far between when sounds click as they end and start when stretched to longer lengths.
But it does make it a total destroyer of many tracks most of the time an otherwise good song would seem amateur when the sounds join wether they are manually faded or not? And I have ever since starting Logic Pro X tried and tried again to find a way or a good guide in layman's terms not in the common confusing pro or enthusiast level terms guide to do this exact and specific task.
I see a great many people in all sorts of forums asking the same sort of thing with no precise simplistic response to it which I would love to have, as would others, it's a burden its one of two things that is impairing my creativity and reducing the professionalism of many if not a high percentage of tracks that I create have joins in certain sound samples that you make longer by dragging and stretching them.
It really depends on the sound and how you're joining it exactly. Normally the transition from one region to another is handled with a crossfade. Could you share a screenshot of what you're describing so that I can see exactly what creates the click?
Alright David thanks for helping out now I know how to use parts of Logic but create a screenshot in what the mode when you double click the sound that's got a problematic clicking in the devision of a stretched sound? or the arrangement window without zooming etc. I will be honest I only ever zoom when it does it clicking the fade line tool that creates volume fade lines the zig zag line option net to flex on/off I mean otherwise I avoid piano rolls and editors
Is clear one side is quieter on the rise than the ending of the prior block creating a click in some cases a pop or sometimes pure silence overly prolonged when it should be immediate to enter the next sound to continue.
Sorry wanted to send this I don't screenshot on mac often at all if ever had to look up cmd+shift+3 lol. accidentally captured twice they were both saved one I didn't zoom in on then the one i assume one want I did zoom in on made it a nightmare as they are both similarly named automatically.
It seems if its not just me? to have a form of synchronicity improvement now it has i could be wrong a little ever so slightly less noticeable click divide sound? If you were here to hear it in project format quality on the audio technica headphone it would be apparent.
It goes click a kind of higher toned tick with a pop in this is the most common sound, this sound is a lower bas synth kind of high tone building synth that end with a Hans Zimmer esque kind of dung deep bass but as it tails into the following high town after the join it goes mildly crackly but low volume as its a start of a synth bass/orchestral sound kind of fx orchestral and dark synth
I do know messing in surge synthesizer modifying patches into my first sample pack, that this is when a tail off is it called is either incomplete ie. too early or it is created because a sound you make ends or begins with some kind of build and that build is a type of sound that creates overload or sound that won't complement the next start point sound in that creating a crackle hiss pop click or what ever or ending with prolonged empty sound before starting again to loop.
When using surge i found some patches morph into amazing and truly wicked sounds and creating a track stack (a way to select software instruments so they play the same key presses together simultaneously0 with pads and keys you just mess around with in surge no idea what it all means or does lol but it can be just phenomenal sometimes for reasons unknown when I was recording that way or some specific synths you make up sometimes as you let the keys off on the note as you hear the gradual fading away and it ends, you click on spacebar to stop and save it and then when you play it back and the tail off you heard gradually fade never happens it plays so far into the sound and then it just abruptly stops,
I think its likely these samples i sods law prefer to pick and try to join together are examples of abruptly ending during the recording phase like i experienced a few times? I have found it very occasionally in an odd sample library sound in logic pro x, i did call support once to ask about it popping sometimes stretching sounds in the library list, they were actually surprised and did ask could i let them know of the files that i notice if it does via email, but I lost the email see.
Control-click (mouse or trackpad alike) is the operation to open a contextual shortcut menu, not only in Logic but in MacOS as well. Command-click should not open a contextual menu unless you have customize your modifiers somehow.
If you still hear a click with the crossfade then that means the transition itself doesn't work. On your screen it looks like there may be a silent gap between the two waveforms, and no amount of crossfading is going to create a smooth transition. You first need to edit (resize, trim) your regions so that there's no silent gap at the junction point.

...We tested the freeware version of pdf split and merge on our Citrix systems and now we want to upgrade to the Pro Version. The simple handling of the program has been evaluated very positively by numerous employees...
The software does not need a runtime environment such as Java or .NET, and works as a high-performance Windows application locally on your PC. Internet isn't necessary and your files are 100% safe! The portable version can even be used directly on a USB stick as a PortableApp. And in the current version, nothing stands in the way of using it under Windows 11.
7-PDF Split and Merge is also ready for all current Citrix XenApp and Terminal Server Systems. For administrators in this context probably interesting, in the manual under the section Automatic License Distribution explained how to automatically distribute the license of a PRO version of the software.
With version 7.0 of our PDF software 7-PDF Split & Merge, we have added two additional tabs for convenient rotation and extraction of your PDF pages. Rotate and split in general, or individually for each PDF according to freely definable page ranges. For example, you can rotate your PDF by specifying a page range of 2-6,12-24,27,29,35-. The last "-" character in the defined page range automatically rotates or extracts all pages from the 35th page to the last. Simply double-click in the table column "Page ranges" and you are ready to go. See for yourself and download version 7 right now. A detailed description of the new functions "Rotate" and "Extract" can be found in the manual.
We have added a PDF Booster to 7-PDF Split & Merge in version 6.0, because especially the splitting of PDFs is twice as fast as before. An increase of a whopping 200% compared to previous versions. In addition, the new version uses even fewer resources than before. We have been able to reduce the required RAM by a factor of 10 (!), and despite this reduction in resources, we can still process larger PDF files than ever before. Who knows what we have in mind for version 7.0... Until then, have fun with version 6!
From version 4.3.0, PDF pages in PDF files can be rotated directly clockwise (via column R rotation with a double click). The new functionality for rotating PDF pages in combination with the well-known functions PDF Split and Merge gives you the greatest possible flexibility in creating your desired PDF file. Try it! How do we show you in the manual... With version 5.0 we have extended our PDF Split and Merge Tool so that you can now split several PDF files with one split run. Until version 5.0, this was limited to only one file. In addition, the software is now also available in French, Italian and Spanish. Furthermore, we have adapted and modernised our manual to the new version 5.0. And last but not least, we have fixed some workflow improvements and bugs.
