The major points discussed were regarding the Laptop, The brand XIMB especially your perception and what will u like to do for that and the education loan.

• Regarding the laptop it was told by the seniors that its better to have a HP laptop as they are more robust and they can be repaired in bhubaneshwar anywhere while in case of other laptops like Dell and Sony they cannot be repaired there u need to send them to a service center and it will take time. It was told by one of the seniors that HP is like a Indian Maruti u can get it serviced anywhere.
• All the juniors present gave their own perceptions regarding the brand ximb, Majority of the people agreed that lot of work is needed to build the brand XIMB as everyone knows about institutes like IMT, IMI, FORE and all but not much people know about XIMB it was also stated that XIMB is at par with IIM Indore and IIM Khozikode. The only thing is that XIMB is not having locational advantage like other institutes, which are located in metros.
• Regarding the educational loan it was told by the seniors that there are lot of advantages you get by taking loan from SBI fortune towers branch like u get it less interest rate, the processing is very easy, there is no hassles for getting the amount or depositing it bcoz the branch is very near to the institute and the institute itself has its account in the branch. Based on their experience the seniors have advised to prefer taking loan from SBI fortune tower branch only.

Other than these things there was formal introduction of the seniors and the juniors, on the lighter part lot of fun and leg pulling was going on among the seniors and that showed how rich the ximb culture is so that the professionalism and friendship goes hand in hand.

 

It was great experience and I would advise people in metros not to miss a opportunity to attend such meets and also there would be a alumni meet in all the metros.
