Transition plan for ruralnet

Folks,

Rahul and Sameer have been spearheading the project, especially the
field deployments. They will however graduate by the 30th to take up
their respective jobs. I am charting out various responsibilities that
others now need to inherit. Make sure you get all the required
understanding from Rahul and Sameer before they leave.

1. Monitoring the new deployments. We need data for at least 4 weeks
from each of the locations. Asheesh will be the primary person
responsible, overseen by Arvind. Since Asheesh is sick, this goes to
Arvind. Inputs this will require from Sameer:
- Exact information of deployment locations
- Contact info of the field staff
- All other relevant contacts of the partner organization

2. Processing of stipend for the various field staff. These payments
will be made when the nodes are retrieved.

3. Scripts to process data from the various locations and populate the
fusion tables. Arvind is the lead on this, overseen by Zahir. Inputs
this will require from Rahul/Sameer:
- Detailed documentation of the data organization and scripts
- For all old locations, the data should be entered by Rahul/Sameer
before they leave

4. New nodes for Uttarakhand. The contacts and conversations should be
transitioned to Asheesh. Inputs to be provided by Rahul/Sameer:
- Details of the locations and contact information

5. Research studies on buffer sizes, routes, network design, etc. Arvind
will be the lead, overseen by Zahir. Inputs to come from Rahul/Sameer:
- Detailed documentation of scripts, processing of data, and tools used
to draw the graphd

Any clarifications, please ask. Let us make sure that this transition
happens smoothly and we can conclude the project cleanly.

Hi all,

1. Monitoring the new deployments 

     - Sameer will document the deployments & their contact infos with the SIM details in a spreadsheet and handover to Arvind.

     - Data monitoring from all the nodes is already being carried through the heartbeat and mail system. Now Asheesh and Arvind will receive the mail updates.  Asheesh will carry out data monitoring overseen by Arvind.

2. Measurement suite scripts will be analysed by Asheesh & Arvind. Arvind will carry out installation of the suite on a netbook for learning and deployment purpose.

3. Analysis Scripts to process data from the various locations and populate the fusion tables - Arvind will go through the analysis scripts and database schema and will populate fusion tables in presence of Rahul and Sameer.

4. Asheesh will carry out Uttarakhand deployments, Sameer will provide the contact details.

5. The filling of data in fusion tables will be completed by Monday, except demographic table.

Sir,

The transition process is on. 

Rahul and Sameer are expected to complete the documentation of analysis and measurement scripts shortly, meanwhile I am doing study of analysis scripts.

The procedure of setting up of a new measurement site (for the sake of learning the complete details of the measurement suite) and its netbook was understood and implemented.   

Asheesh is keeping a close look on data from new sites and performing troubleshooting. 

As suggested by Zahir, the line of action is as follows:

Priority 1: Fusion table filling (most probably by Tuesday). 

Priority 2: Deployment sheet with equipment and contact info should be prepared by Asheesh.

Priority 3: Next installations at UK.

Priority 4: Read DEV paper and MTech thesis to combine the two for revision of statements in Dev paper.

Two table have been filled Location specific and website probing.The
provider specific and the demographic data will filled by Monday 7
July'14.
