The Revitalizing Rainfed Agriculture Network (RRA) is pleased to announce a fellowship program to conduct field research in India during the summer of 2015.
Our research program seeks to understand the diversity of livelihood systems in rainfed areas and the role of public investments in enabling adaptive responses that lead to improvements
in well-being and human development.
We invite post-baccalaureate students anywhere in the world to apply for the fellowship and contribute towards this exciting research agenda.
We seek innovative proposals which seek to undertake research on one or more themes:
1. Livelihoods, Institutions, and Adaptation Practices
2. Understanding Security in Diversity
3. Uneven Topographies of Governance
The fellowship will start on June 1, 2015 and culminate on August 14, 2015. The fellowship will cover basic living expenses for the duration of the program as well as travel
to and from field sites within India. Fellows will also be provided logistical support in the field sites for housing and local travel through our partners.
Each fellow will produce a paper based on the research conducted during the fellowship to be published as part of our working papers series. We also hope to curate edited volumes or special journal issues based on
this body of work.
The applications are now open for the RRA Summer Fellowship program. The deadline is March 9, 2015. We will notify the results on or before March 30, 2015.
