Hi everyone,

I think we should have as a goal to ensure that rur-ple works with
Python 2.4+ (possibly 2.3 [for wxPython 2.6] but, for now, not with
Python 3) and wxPython 2.6+. Since there seems to be some
incompatibilities between wxPython 2.6 and 2.8, this may mean some
hard-coded if/else checks in a few places.

What do you think?

André

P.S. I will try to go back into coding for rur-ple some time in January. :-)

Yes I also think it's important to keep 'old' libraries compatibility.
We often work with old hardware (and software) and having the latest and
greatest of everything sometimes just runs too slow.
I'll be attending the Beijing LUG coding for fun today and plan on
trying to fix a few of the current issues with a group of other
developers. Let's see how much I can do.
