Hello,
I am new to the impressive runtime.js. The readme on github describes it as a very young project. So I am very curious about what features & components will be planned to have. Will it be developed to a standalone OS? So far I could build it for QMENU and Docker. But I am not quit sure if it is possible to build for physical machine such as embedded device or mobile device which is running Intel CPU? Look forwards explanation.

Thanks,
Jingfu Ye

Hello,

thank you for your interest. It's actually developed as a standalone OS from the beginning and should be able to boot on any x86_64 CPU. Docker is useful for the build system only and not the actual OS. QEMU/KVM are the main targets for this system because it's so much easier to implement support for virtual network and disk devices than real hardware.
I'm able to run it on my Intel desktop machine, but of course in this case I don't have access to network (only have virtio drivers).
