Running in Noida

Hi! I'd like to know more about the running group. How does it
function? Do you run together regularly? How often? Can a complete
beginner join? I live in Sector 29 in Noida and have been wanting to
run long distance for a while but have never done it. So, if someone's
running around here, maybe that'll spur me on.

Sam, There's no such group which is active here. At least I'm yet to find one. I go to Noida stadium when I wish to do long runs. I don't know of anyone else who runs in Noida stadium regularly and active on these email groups.

My runs are also somewhat irregular these days. :)

My plan is to do 12K in Noida on Sunday starting at 5:15 or 5:30 AM in Noida stadium. I think this is best soft track available within Noida. All interested for running in Noida may join.

BTW, Who all from this group showed up for running on Sunday? I was there.

I was there , and with my observation , i finished Fifth in the 5k run .
I run round sector 39 41 40 37 39  roughly about 5k .

BTW  how about having the meet up for the run on Saturday , so that we can have leisure and laidback  sunday and for people who travel  .

Ok. I guess we're set for first time running as group in Noida. We're meeting at 5:30 AM tomorrow. Bigger parking space is available if you enter stadium from road on spice mall side. After parking proceed towards the ground. We'll meet at the T-point near the bench. I'm also attaching map just to avoid any confusion.

After intro we can start the run at 5:45 or so.

Please do not forget to bring water.

I ran this morning and as a beginner, I think I was better today than
last week. I'm told the circumference of the Noida stadium track
measures 1100 m. I ran the first round, walked the next and ran the
third. Small improvements! But, of course, I could not keep up with
Mayank. So, if there are others at my level - do come!
