I have been using zoom android sdk for quite a while for joining zoom meeting through my android app and everything worked fine. But recently I have started facing issues while joining zoom meetings. When ever a user tries to join meeting it generally takes 2 or more tries for the user to join the meeting and the host also gets multiple requests from the same user. Even after the user joins the meeting successfully after 2+ attempt, in the meeting it shows multiple participants for same user.

For better understanding of my situation I am sharing recording(webrecording.mov & apprecording.mp4) of my web and android platform where i have integrated zoom sdks respectively. In the video host is ANIKET and attendee is ABHINAV PRAKASH, you can clearly see the number of times joining request gets sent to host.
You can clearly see in the code that only at line 90 I have written code to join the meeting still host is getting multiple joining request. For past 1 month it was working fine , just from 2-3 days back my users have started facing problemWhatsApp Image 2020-05-26 at 2.23.52 PM1280720 111 KB
I was following this issue for a resolution as i was facing the same for the last couple of days. It started working again today. What was the issue and fix? We have lost business because our customers were not able to join video calls using zoom mobile sdk in our app.
Description
I cannot join a meeting when an Android 10 phone is locked. I have an activity class that extends Activity and call setShowWhenLocked(true) and setTurnScreenOn(true). When call joinMeeting it looks like the sdk tries to load but is transparent. I think what is happening is the sdk starts another activity we loose the reference to these specific values in the new one. Is there a way to pass these global params to the new version of the SDK. I need the zoom sdk to be able to start an activity and call both those methods with the values I pass. This is only done android api level > 26, this feature seems to work below that.
@carson.zoom I am trying to implement joining a call from the lock screen. My app gets a notification, the phone rings, the user answers the call, and the user is placed in the call. This worked perfectly as of sdk version v4.4.55968.0904. This process does not work with the latest sdk. Even when implementing a custom UI, I find that the custom class does not run. Is there a way around this problem I am having?
You can join meetings as a host or a participant. If a meeting number and meeting password is known and you scheduled the meeting as the host, call - (MobileRTCMeetError)joinMeetingWithJoinParam:(nonnull MobileRTCMeetingJoinParam*)param; , and you will join as a host. If you join a meeting and were not already a host, the host will have to make you a host.
There are two ways to join via dial-in. You can either select the "dial-in' option once you've joined the meeting link from your phone. Or, you can choose one of the dial-in numbers usually provided in the host's meeting invite.
However, when I click the meeting link on a PC, I have the possibility to join via browser, but when I open it on my tablet, the only thing it does, is trying to open/access the Zoom app, which is not there.
Each meeting has a unique 9, 10, or 11-digit number called a ZOOM Personal Meeting ID (PMI) that will be required to join a Zoom hearing. If you do not know your PMI number please call the Judge's Office.
Zoom is a cloud-based solution for video and audio conferencing, mobile collaboration, and online meetings and Webinars. Zoom's web-based conferencing uses high-quality video and audio and is accessible on MacOS, Windows, iOS and Android mobile devices. Additionally, Zoom can be used with conventional phone lines for audio conferencing. Finally, this online solution can also connect to existing Polycom, Tandberg, LifeSize, and similar devices.
Zoom is a cloud-based web conferencing service that allows users to meet online and share content. Join a meeting from a PC, Mac, desktop, laptop or mobile device -- wherever you have an internet connection. (No need to connect to the ODU VPN.)
Access Zoom in Canvas with the Course Collaboration Tool. Schedule, start and manage meetings directly from the tool. Students can join meetings and access cloud recordings from within the course as well.
Students can join a scheduled meeting from the Course Collaboration Tool in Canvas or from the My Courses section of myODU after the session has started. They can only see and join meetings associated with their courses.
To participate in a Zoom meeting, you can use the microphone and speakers connected to your computer or on your mobile device, or call into a meeting using Zoom's call-in numbers (included in all meeting invites). For more info on joining a meeting by phone, visit support.zoom.us/hc/en-us/articles/201362663-Joining-a-Meeting-by-Phone.
Parties may appear at the hearing using Zoom on a computer, using Zoom on a smartphone or other mobile device or using Zoom on a telephone. If you are joining using a computer, you will need a web camera and microphone connected to your computer. If you don't have those items, then use a smartphone or mobile device. You can also join using just a telephone.
Download Zoom App
Participants can join a Zoom meeting from anywhere in the world via the Zoom app. To download the Zoom app on your KU-owned workstation, personal computer, and/or mobile device, select the "Download the Zoom App" link above.
Calling in to meetings is very useful, for example, when people are on the road and can't attend a meeting using the Zoom app on their laptop or mobile device. There are also other scenarios in which using a phone to attend a Zoom meeting can be a better option than using an app on a computer:
To dial in to the meeting using your phone, use one of the local numbers which are shown within the meeting invitation. You will need to enter the meeting ID in order to join the meeting. If the meeting host has not yet joined, you may need to wait for them to admit you.
Zoom sessions support web-based video, audio and chat. With Zoom you can easily share your computer screen and any annotations made. You can even share computer audio to showcase YouTube and video/audio clips from other sources. Do you have activities or planning sessions where participants work in groups? Use Zoom to create private Breakout Rooms for group work. Record your sessions locally or in the cloud for those who are unable to join at your scheduled meeting time.
IMPORTANT: All Zoom meeting guests are required to sign in (authenticate) when joining a meeting. While you can turn off this requirement, we strongly recommend that you leave this on to help prevent Zoombombing. To add an authentication exception to a single or recurring meeting, see Add authentication exceptions.
In the Advanced Options list place a check next to Only authenticated users can join and select Sign in with UWSP.EDU account from the drop down. The second option " Sign in to Zoom" means that any Zoom account can be used to join your meeting.
Important: Make sure to communicate to your participants that they must log in to your Zoom meeting with their UWSP logon. If attending via a mobile phone, students in particular sometimes choose to attend using the Guest option in order to simplify the login process from their mobile device.
Click Join with Computer Audio to join the meeting with your computer's mic and camera, or select Phone Call at the upper-left to receive a dial-in number and meeting ID.
Sometimes the only option you may have to join a Zoom meeting is by telephone. For example when you're traveling and your available internet connection is spotty at best. You may also wish connect by telephone when your computer can access video but a mic is not available.
Account-Level Settings: Most settings that you can modify in Zoom are account-level settings. This means that any settings changes you make impact all meetings that you schedule. To access Zoom's account-level settings go to wisconsin-edu.zoom.us and click Sign In. Click Settings at the left.
