Hi Runners,
A group of us will be in Minnesota the next 2 Saturdays, but there will still be some in town, so here's the plan for the Saturday long runs. We're running Grandma's marathon or half marathon on Saturday the 21st, with lots of fun sightseeing in between, and/or Stillwater Lift Bridge half,10K or 5K on the 28th.  We look forward to cool weather too!

This Saturday, June 21st, we start our run at 6:30 a.m. at the Flying Biscuit to run our own heartbreak hilly route, but backwards and change it some as the 23rd trail to come back is under construction.  So, go up 43rd to 39th, west on 39th to Publix drink, over I-75 thru Meadowbrook, to SFC drink, then back on 39th.  This should be almost 12 miles, you can run up 43rd to that Publix for more.
Or, Publix at 39th to drink, to Santa Fe, then figure out how much more you want to add and come back as you came.   This route has hills, paved trail, roadside, and sidewalk, water stops with bathrooms.  The Flying B is at corner of NW 16th Avenue and NW 43rd Avenue, we park close to 43rd.  Original route is:  MapMyRun: 11.99 mi Flying Biscuit Heartbreak hill route http://www.mapmyrun.com/routes/view/230811065

Breakfast Club - text when we finish so anyone can join!

The following Saturday, June 28th,  we start the long run at 6:30 a.m. at Hunter's Crossing to run the route to Westside Park and Alfred Ring. This route is 12 miles long, but we can tell you when to loop back for shorter distances. This route has paved trail, roadside, some sidewalk, some hills, dirt trail thru Alfred Ring if you want, and water stops every 2 to 3 miles. Hunter's Crossing Publix is at the corner of NW 43rd Street and NW 53rd Avenue/Millhopper Road. We park in the parking lot behind the dentist office to the right of Publix in front of AAA.   http://www.mapmyrun.com/us/alachua-fl/hunters-crossing-to-alfred-ring-park-route-427568

Race ahead:  4th of July Melon Run at Westside Park. Register at runsignup.com  It's 3 miles, 8 a.m., hot, fun, and yummy watermelon!  June 19th is the last day to register if you want a tank top!  Registration is still open after that but price increases + no tank!

Summer heat  so wear sunscreen and look for shade!
Run happy, Diane
