Hi Runners,
This Saturday,  April 12th, you have two options We will start the long run at 6:30 a.m. in front of the UF Performing Arts Center to run the OLD Five Points of Life half marathon route.  It is 13 miles long. You can come back on 34th Street for less than 8 miles, or come back on 13th Street for 10.5 miles. This route is mostly roadside and sidewalk and includes hills on the "Bacon Strip" (16th Avenue) and other landmarks we missed on the new course!  This should be the whole marathon route:  https://www.mapmyrun.com/routes/view/175181764 There are water stops every 2 to 3 miles, about 3 have bathrooms.    https://www.mapmyrun.com/routes/view/987371473

Breakfast Club - We text when we finish so anyone can join! Probably 43rd Street Deli.

2nd option:  FTC Tobacco Road 5K and Brunch at Squirrel Ridge Park on is this Saturday, April 12th at 8 a.m. This race is free to FTC members and $20 for non-members. Register at runsignup.com

Happy SPRING! is back  Lots of great races all over Florida!   Don't miss this:  Spud Run in Hastings, April 26th!  5K, 10K, or both!  Remember cabbage and potatoes when you finish and a Cabbage, Potato and Bacon Festival in Hastings!  We have a good group already signed up and we are bringing foods to share to celebrate after under the big tree.   Also considering the following weekend is Fernandina Beach Shrimp Festival 5k, SaturdayMay 3rd. The festival is great and so was last year's tie-dyed T shirt!

Run happy,
Diane
