Hi Runners,
This SaturdaySeptember 27th already! we will start the long run at 6:00 a.m.in front of the UF Performing Arts Center to run the OLD Five Points of Life half marathon route.  This route is mostly roadside and sidewalk and includes hills on the "Bacon Strip" (16th Avenue) and other landmarks we missed on the new course!  There are waters stops every 2-3 miles, about 3 have bathrooms.   This should be the half marathon route:    https://www.mapmyrun.com/routes/view/987371473
The general idea is:  You take 34th Street to Newberry Road, to 43rd Strret, east on 16th up to 13th Street, out 10th past Main Street to Duck Pond road, then past Thomas Center, downtown and west on 2nd Avenue to UF, by going under the 13th Street tunnel, past the bell tower, past or around the stadium, down past the bat houses, and back to Performing Arts Center.  It is 13 miles long.   You can come back on 34th Street for less than 8 miles, or come back on 13th Street for 10.5 miles.

The weather report says there is a good chance of rain Saturday all morning and thunderstorms by noon.  I can't run this Sunday, so i don't know what to do!  Except pray it will hold off....

Breakfast Club - We text when we finish and anyone can join! Probably 43rd Street Deli.

Run Happy,
Diane
