Saturday Newnan's Lake race

Hi Runners,

This Saturday, January 25th, is the Newnan's Lake 15K starting at 8:30.  Sign up on runsignup.com  It's supposed to be really really cold, so maybe it will have warmed up by 8:30?  So I am not scheduling a long run and hope you will come freeze with us!  And then we go someplace warm for breakfast/brunch!  

It's time for winter racing:  Springs Run 7.2k is February 1st.  FTC Micanopy 5 and 10 miler is February 8th, see track club website.  March 1st is Gate River Run, send in your times to qualify, I hope it's not too late to get in first wave.  Then March 8th is the new run Archer 5K and 10K, see FTC website.

Hi Runners,

We are doing it different this Saturday, February 1st.  We are starting at Depot Park at 8:45 to run out Hawthorne Trail to the water stop(about 3 miles), then back to Depot Park.  Don't know what parking will be like-there should be plenty at that time- but let's meet at Depot Park bathrooms, as that would be your waterstop when you come back.  That's about 6 miles, so then those registered for the Springs 7.2K get off there to pick up packet and get ready for 11:00 race, maybe run some in between.  The race is sold out with 750 runners!  For those who don't race and do longer run,  you could either do the trail again, or do the trail towards UF. We are thinking after the race and beer, going to 4th avenue food truck park for lunch.  Sound good?  We will text when if you'd like to join us!
