Tobacco Road and start time

Hi Runners,

This Saturday, January 11th, we will start our long run LATE DUE TO darkness  at 7:00 a.m. to run my favorite route - Tobacco Road . This route can be 8, 10, or 12 miles long depending on where you loop back. This route has roadside, dirt road, some sidewalk, paved trail along Cow Road, and campus roads at the end if you go 10 or 12 miles. Go to Westside Park to get 14.  There are water stops every 2 or 3 miles, 3 have bathrooms, 1 or 2 at convenience stores you could buy gatorade. Remember START POINT:  We will meet and start at UF in front of Phillips Performing Arts Center, close to road - where we usually start for the run out to Hawthorne Trail. Check out the route map on MapMyRun but not that starting place: 13.91 mi Tobacco road and Westside Park     http://www.mapmyrun.com/us/gainesville-fl/tobacco-road-and-westside-park-route-3424693 

Breakfast Club - we will text when we finish so anyone can join!  

The following weekend, some of us are at races, so I am not scheduling a long run unless someone tells me they want it + where/when to start. 

RACES:  Some of us are doing Jekyll Island, all races are sold out.  John, AJ, Loretta, Lu + husband, Renee and myself are scheduled to run the half. Sara my daughter-in-law is doing the 10K. Anyone else? That's Sunday, January 19th, same day as FTC  Mary Andrews Marathon, half, and 4 person marathon relay Who is doing that?  

But save some speed for that next weekend too, Saturday, January 25th  Newnan's Lake 15K!  Register now!   

Gate River Run is March 1st this year, time to send in qualifying times to get in 1st wave!
