Spud run and more races

Hi Runners,

This Saturday, April 26th, I am not scheduling a long run as most of us are doing the  Spud Run in Hastings 5K, 10K, or both!  Remember cabbage and potatoes when you finish and a Cabbage, Potato and Bacon Festival in Hastings!  We have a good group already signed up and we bring foods to share to celebrate after under the big tree.   Bring a chair or blanket to sit on and  join us!

The UF’s ENT Head and Neck Cancer department would like to cordially invite you to join us on Saturday April 26 for the 4^th Annual Head and Neck Cancer Awareness 5K Walk/Run/ Race!  

 Where:  Flavet field    Schedule:  8-9am: Head and Neck Cancer Screening and Sponsor Expo   9:15am: Fun Walk/Run Starts 9:30am: Competitive Race Starts

 Cost:  5K Fun Walk / Run: $30      5K Competitive Race: $35     Patient Rate: $1

 We will also accept donations for the research fund above the registration. We are registered as a 501c3, so donations are tax deductible!

 Registrants will get a T-shirt and be eligible for prizes if they are part of the 5K race.

Also consider  Fernandina Beach Shrimp Festival 5k, Saturday, May 3rd. The festival is great and so was last year's tie-dyed T shirt! 

 

Looking ahead, last year some of us did the Spring Lake Memorial Classic in Brooksville the Saturday before Memorial Day.  May 24th, fun hard hilly run!  The 10K is called the Lake Neff Monster, the 5K is Florida's Toughest 5K, and the 2 mile is The Perfect Stroll.  Register on runsignup.com
