Public Track?

[TrackRunner]

I just moved to Gainesville, and im looking for a Public Track to run
on. Is there one near the walmart super center (I was told there was
only one super center in gainsville)? Im not a college student so the
campus stuff I believe is off limits. Also it seems these courts are
for apartment complexes do they care (or even tell) if someone outside
complex use their equipment?

Santa Fe College, and Near the ZL Sund SDA School (I don't know the
name of the community park, but it's located near:

2115 Northwest 39th Avenue, Gainesville, FL

Google map the address and look to the right of the bullet (I don't
know how to email maps, sorry).

They are both asphalt tracks (SF may be concrete?), but the one off of
39th has trees in the middle, and it's a beautiful break from
students!

You can run anywhere you want to on campus.  The track is available; I think there are certain times it's more crowded than others, and you have to stay out of the way of teams from the university using it for practice.

The shady track is called the Kiwanis park and is behind the girl's club one block behind 39th avenue..... it is shady.... And a great escape from the hot sun.

The UF track is presently closed for re-surfacing until September 1. The closest track to the Waldo Road Wal-Mart Super Center I believe is the asphalt track in the 1800 block of NE 15^th St. It is shared by Howard Bishop Middle School and Metcalfe Elementary.

Ben Hill Griffin stadium AKA the Swamp, where Florida plays, doesn't have a track but you can run around the concourses, do stadium runs, go up to the top and back. It is an interesting and motivating place to jog. You do not have to have a student ID to run there. It is open from I think 10 a.m. to 10 p.m. Not sure about the a.m. time but I know it is 10 p.m. bc I was told by a worker that they were locking the gates! Let me know what you think.

I use the stadium all the time.  It is the BEST place to run, especially in the summer, because there is always a breeze under the stands.  It is a third of a mile around. Many Track Club members meet there on Tuesday at 5.
