Hello,

I am missing a step that gets my assignment from the instructor 'Create and Assignment' page to the  Student 'Assignment List'

I have saved the assignment
I have rebuilt the class

Still I do not see the Assignment when following the link in the Table of Contents.

I've watched the part of the video a few times and I don't see the step that I am missing

I only find two posts regarding Assignment in the Google Groups.

Sorry.  and   Thanks.

Troy,

I can see you have created 3 assignments, but you have not clicked the box to make these assignments visible.  Just go back to the assignments tab choose each assignment, make it visible and save.  Then your students can see the assignments.

That makes sense.  Sorry to trouble you.
Thanks Prof. Miller.

Hello,

I create most of my own coding assignments.  Usually it goes well.  About 10-20% of the time I have a problem that I don't understand.    Today, for example, I kept getting a message like "The Assignment Already exist" as I tried to edit the details of an assignment.  I tried deleting and recreating it, but I still had issues.   And I tried importing one of my own coding windows into a "new" assignment, but the coding window did not show up.

I am definitely confused.

Hi Shawn,

I’d love for this to work for you 100% of the time.  But with the volume of activity on Runestone on any given day its really hard to do anything without more precise information.  It’s no different than trying to help one of your own students when they ask why their code isn’t working.  The next time this happens if you could file an issue on github and include some screen shots to show exactly what is going on, and include information such as the name of your course, the name of the assignment giving you problems, the name of the exercises you are working with or have created yourself, any information you might see in the Javascript console.

As you say, this works just fine most of the time, and even though I’m always testing and trying things out as I do development, I don’t haven’t seen a problem like “The Assignment Already exists”
