Hello all!,
First off I want to say that I'm excited to see an actual MMORPG come
out on droid. I just started playing RR yesterday and must say I'm
impressed with the Alpha version so far. I've noted a few glitches or
bugs I've experienced while playing in the last 24 hours, you may
already know about them but I thought I'de tell you anyway.
Im running the game on an HTC Evo with Android 2.2 software. I average
25 FPS but have seen it as high as 32 FPS. The game runs very smooth
when exploring the environment, and the FPS will drop down to around
19-21 when I'm in combat. When I leveled from 2 - 3, I somehow lost
all of my quests. Not a big deal except I had finished one quest and
was ready to turn it in when they all came up missing. Which brings me
to the quest log, Being at the bottom of the screen near the middle, I
have twice accidentally swiped my thumb over it and and in one motion
brought up the menu and deleted all of my quests at once. You may be
aware of this already, but it is a foreseeable annoyance.
I have also had an issue with accidentally farming in the middle of
combat while trying to walk backwards and all of a sudden I plant seed
lol. Some of the spell timers do lag a bit on the refresh countdown,
and sometimes they show and then go away, and then come back.
Recently I was fighting a wolf when another one aggroed on me, I
killed the original wolf I was fighting but when I ran away from the
second wolf, he chased me for about 10 steeps and then he got stuck
trying to rezone back to its original position. He didnt try to attack
me, he was just stuck in the side of the hill and I killed him for the
XP.
The game concept is great for a mobile phone, I cant wait to see what
come out in Beta testing. Im sure you have a lot of great ideas for
the game. Ive Beta tested a lot of games from Ultima Online all the
way up to Wow, so I'll do my best to keep in contact with you about
any issues or suggestions i come across with the game.

So after typing my last message, I update my profile and my PRL on my
phone, rebooted, and when my phone came back on, there wasn't an icon
for the Rune Runners app on my phone. I can see the app from my
Menu>settings>Applications>Manage Apps but i can not open the game
from here. I would hate to have to download the game again seeing as
how I would loose all my progress on my char. I know it will prob get
wiped later on anyway but is theres something I can do to reclaim the
app icon? Thanks

Well it promted me to download it again from the Android Market. I
didnt loose my progress. I do have a question tho, my friend is
playing the game and we couldnt find each other when we both went to
potato point. Im guessing that it isnt online yet?

Right, John. The game has no online functionality yet. It may not be up to par with that of Runescape or WoW when Dan implements it. He has said and written elsewhere that there IS an online plan, though. I will leave it up to him to describe the tenets of such.
Another thing to note is that you may also backup your character/data with Titanium Backup from the market. I have been doing this in between flashing ROM's on my phone.
