Today, for the first time, while using the Rune C compiler to work on the bootstrap compiler, I found that Rune was more productive for me than any other language  I know.

Now there are caveats:

1) I wrote most of the Rune C compiler, though others have motivated more than half of its design.
2) I've been using a similar coding style very effectively in C, backed by DataDraw, since the early 1990s.
3) There are basically no libraries built out for Rune, so if you need access to a numerical package, statistics, or pretty much anything at all, you're SoL.
4) I don't know every language.  There may be more productive ones out there (e.g. Nim)

Still, it is an exciting milestone.  I hope others may find it as enjoyable to use as I did today.
