Hello Team,

I recently attempted to create a UI plugin for Rundeck, following the example provided in the official Rundeck documentation. While the plugin was successfully imported, I encountered an issue with the XKCD panel not functioning as expected.

Upon further investigation, I discovered that the CSS class referenced in the main JavaScript function has been deprecated or removed in the latest Rundeck version (5.5.x). I tried to address this issue by making the necessary fixes and submitting pull requests (PRs). However, I noticed that the repository has not received any updates since the last PR was merged in 2018.

I wanted to bring this to your attention in case it might have been overlooked, and I am happy to provide any additional details or collaborate further to ensure the plugin's compatibility with the latest version.

Thank you for your time and consideration.

Best regards,
Bhavabhuthi

Hi Bhavabhuthi,

Right, that was reported here. Please add your use case in that thread. After some internal changes, UI plugins don't work on Rundeck 4/5.

Rehards.

Hello Team,

Thanks for response and reference to the issue.

I don't have any additional use case. I was trying to run the plugin example in v5.5.x and couldn't see any change as described in the issue, leading to some confusion on how to run the plugin.

A small note about compatible Rundeck versions on the plugin UI repository can be helpful for users.

Regards,
Bhavabhuthi
