Hi,
From 2 days we have error 500 internal server error when editing some job (that failed at launch from this date):

in rundeck.log we see (extract) :

[2022-07-26T11:55:00,012] WARN spi.SqlExceptionHelper [quartzScheduler_Worker-1] - SQL Error: 1146, SQLState: 42S02
[2022-07-26T11:55:00,012] WARN spi.SqlExceptionHelper [quartzScheduler_Worker-1] - SQL Error: 1146, SQLState: 42S02
[2022-07-26T11:55:00,012] ERROR spi.SqlExceptionHelper [quartzScheduler_Worker-1] - (conn=893398) Table 'rundeck.rdoption_values' doesn't exist

Table rundeck.rdoption_values doesn't exist in MYSQL server (rdoption table exist).

I don't know why the jobs works before and why this tables is not present.
I found nothing to describe the database scheme in rundeck documentation.

note : we run on GCP compute + mysql 5.7

regards

Hi!

Which Rundeck version are you using?  Is your Rundeck an upgraded instance? If so, what was the previous version? Did you follow some steps to upgrade?

Regards!

Hi,

You have details here : https://github.com/rundeck/rundeck/issues/7816

it is a fresh GCP compute Managed Instance Group install.

My Rundeck detail

  • Rundeck version: 4.3.1.20220615-1 (community version)
  • install type: deb
  • OS Name/version: bullseye/sid (GCP compute) - kernel 5.13.0-1019-gcp
  • DB Type/version: mysql 5.7 (Cloud SQL GCP)

There were no upgrade before.

We have try fist restore of Mysql database with a backup pre issue, but appears again.

Fresh rebuild of the compute instance with last version seems to fix the problem, but we don't know if there was a bug in 4.3.1

regards
