Hi all,

I'm using Rundeck to run Ansible jobs... but i found some issue to see the Ansible ourput almost in realtime... i note that Rundeck has big buffer, before show the output lines, some way to setting small log buffer to show more frecuent updates into Log view?

Thanks
Alejandro

Hi Alejandro,

Rundeck does show it in real time. It is possible you need to change a python setting to get Ansible to stream output.

Thanks

Alex, thanks for the response!

Let me show this image from output logs

Can see that the same Ansible task, that is resolved normally in 2 sec, during the LOG Output has +14 min diff between lines... before this line has +100 lines of logs with same time 22:44:50

If I run the same line into command line, the logs go fluid I don't has any task that running for 14min without logging

I'm running with "Local Command" and the command be:

sudo ansible-playbook /etc/ansible/roles/env-oracle/osb1.yml --extra-vars "servers=${option.server} env=${option.environment}"

Logs from rundeck be setting in NORMAL.

Some idea? thanks!
Alejandro

I had this exact same issue with my python scripts that I was running with Rundeck.  The following two links helped me fix it:

I am not very familiar with how Ansible is configured, but it does seems at though it is having python buffer its output.
