Hi

Apologies if this has been answered elsewhere or is common knowledge, but I have been unable to find anything about it via the usual channels.

This weekend, the UK will be adjusting their clocks at 1am, forward an hour to 2am. How does Rundeck deal with this scenario? Will jobs that are normally scheduled for between 1-2am fail? Or is there a process in place whereby Rundeck is aware of the changes (based on Timezone?) and can facilitate this?

Thanks
Benjamin.

Hi Benjamin,

The scheduler we use is Quartz with a Cron trigger, so according to the FAQ page: http://quartz-scheduler.org/documentation/faq#FAQ-daylightSavings, If you have a trigger scheduled at 1:15am, it will be skipped.

Your best bet is to change the schedule so it doesn’t fall in that window if possible.

Hi Greg,

Many thanks for the information - I will pass it on to the team tomorrow and we'll double-check our schedules.

Kind regards
Benjamin.
