Preauthenticated mode logout redirection front-channel vs back-channel

Does the preauth logout redirect support backchannel logouts at all?
Or does this just act as a simple 30* redirect to the browser? The
documentation is very limited for this.

What do you mean by "act as a simple 30*"?

According to the documentation, you can set a URL for that. Check this example.
