Hi Guys,

I am trying to integrate Rundeck with LDAP. I created/updated /etc/rundeck/rundeck_administrators.aclpolicy and /etc/rundeck/rundeck_users.aclpolicy with required LDAP groups. Now i want to add admin and users groups in web xml for login, but i was unable to find the files. Can someone please help

[root@server1 ~]# ll /var/lib/rundeck/

total 4

drwxr-xr-x 2 rundeck rundeck   39 Jan 27 09:36 bootstrap

drwxr-xr-x 4 rundeck rundeck   26 Jan 14 00:15 cli

drwxr-xr-x 2 rundeck rundeck   53 Jan 27 09:36 data

drwxr-xr-x 3 rundeck rundeck 4096 Jan 29 18:44 libext

drwxr-xr-x 3 rundeck rundeck   20 Jan 14 00:15 logs

drwxr-xr-x 2 rundeck named      6 Jan 13 09:09 projects

drwxr-xr-x 4 rundeck named     45 Jan 13 09:09 repository

drwxr-xr-x 4 rundeck rundeck  129 Jan 27 09:37 var

drwxr-xr-x 2 rundeck rundeck    6 Jan 14 00:15 work

I was unable to find /var/lib/rundeck/exp/webapp/WEB-INF/web.xml in my server.

Thanks

Krishna

Hi Krishna,

Since Rundeck 3.X web.xml file is no longer relevant anymore.

Please take a look to know how to configure LDAP and apply your ACL rules on your roles:

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=tW6rVPdoXbI

Also, you can check this:

https://docs.rundeck.com/docs/administration/security/authentication.html#ldap

And this:

https://docs.rundeck.com/docs/manual/document-format-reference/aclpolicy-v10.html#aclpolicy

Hope it helps!
