Hi guys - I'm new to the group, but have a question.

How can we change or disable the setting for the time duration on RunDeck web session timeouts?

After about 15 minutes it automatically logs us out for security purposes, which is good.

But we are using RunDeck in a secured lab and would rather have the web session never timeout.

Thanks in advance for your help,

-mt

Hi,

You can change the session-timeout setting in the web.xml:

diff /var/lib/rundeck/exp/webapp/WEB-INF/web.xml web.xml

214c214

< <session-timeout>30</session-timeout>

---

> <session-timeout>90</session-timeout>

The time unit is minutes and this examples shows setting it to 90 minutes. You could use a -1 value to never expire the session but that is considered against best practice.
