Hi everyone,

I would like to know how I can use a proxy jump host in Rundeck with an SSH key and passphrase. In the previous example shared in this discussion, the connection was shown without a proxy. Could you please clarify how to extend that configuration to include a proxy jump?

For example, if my setup looks like this:

  • Rundeck server → Proxy hostTarget host

  • Authentication: SSH private key with passphrase

How should I configure the project.properties or resources.xml in Rundeck to make this work?

A small working snippet/example would be very helpful.

Thanks in advance!

Thank you for your response.
I would like to know if there is a way to provide the SSH key passphrase through a job when using the Ansible ad-hoc node executor. At the moment, I don’t see any option or field to add the passphrase, or to configure a job that passes it to the node executor so that the nodes can be loaded after execution.

The main goal here is not to store the passphrase in Rundeck, but to supply it securely at runtime.
