Hi Team,

We have configured jenkins and our monitoring tool to call Rundeck through API's , but as of now Rundeck Auth token is getting expired in 30 days and we need manually regenerate the token every month and replace it in the conf files , is there way to change thie expiry setting to 365 days or use any other authentication for these API's ?

Hi Santosh,

Indeed! you can set the following configuration in your rundeck-config.properties file:

rundeck.api.tokens.duration.max=0

This will disable your maximum period. So now, when you set "0" to your API token expiration (either via WebUI, API or RD cli), there will be no expiration date.

Hope it helps!

Eduardo.

Hey there!

Do I have to reinitialize the service after adding this configuration?

Thanks for your time.

Hi Felipe.

Yes, because Rundeck reads the rundeck-config.properties file at launch moment.

Hope it helps!

Thank you
