I am new to rundeck and trying to use it. I have installed and configured rundec 2.0.1, i was able to execute jobs on local node. Now, i am trying to add external node. I have updated the resource.xml file and node appears in GUI. My question is where do i provide password for it to be able to access the external node. The log says "Failed: ConfigurationFailure: SSH Keyfile does not exist: C:\Documents and Settings\User\.ssh\id_rsa"

Is there a step by step guide for rundeck coz manuals don't help much.

Hi Ankush,

By default, Rundeck uses SSH key-based authentication for Unix hosts. Did you take a look at this page? http://rundeck.org/docs/plugins-user-guide/ssh-plugins.html. Let us know if that page doesn't help.

Thanks

Hi Ankush,

You will need to setup the nodes for WinRM. See https://github.com/rundeck-plugins/rundeck-winrm-plugin

HI Ankush,

Even I faced the same issue when I was trying the install rundeck on windows machine. You will have to install openssh for windows, which is available over the internet. Then the above location would be availabe. Try installing openssh for windows and copy the files.
